A little history of this book... For starters it's a reprint of The Walking Dead #27 (the first appearance of the Governor). Plus! There's six added pages that give a short background story on the fish tanks the Governor has in his room. It's very cool. We all wanted a little more but hey, it's better than nothing. Anyways... The special was released back in February 2013, after the Michonne special. Then, as with a lot of publishers these days, they decided on a couple variant covers. One is called is the Hastings Variant (which I don't own yet) and was limited to 3,000 copies. The third cover (which is this book), it's the ECCC (Emerald City Comic Con) Variant and was limited to only 1,000 copies! So I guess you could say it's fairly rare. I do know that I haven't seen many copies for sale and the ones I have seen go for about $230, sometimes a little more.
The awesome part is I've only ever seen two copies graded and signed by both Kirkman and AdlardIt's a great cover showing an iconic scene in the series. It's also highly reflective. The CGC cases are shiny plastic but the fact that it's black make it practically a mirror as you can see in the pictures. So anyways... The green foil variant in all its glory. POW!
